Dear Friends,
We’ve always considered the guests of the Montreal Inn to be members of our extended family. Therefore, it’s with much sadness that we tell you we’ve lost our patriarch.
The owner and founder of the Montreal Inn, Harry Hirsch, passed away in late August, at the age of 88. As many of you know, he was the nucleus of our family and of our family business. Harry leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity and kindness. A survivor of the Holocaust, Harry overcame tremendous challenges to become a successful businessman and family man. We are deeply indebted to him, and we will miss him dearly.
As we cope with our loss, we are reminded of the values Harry held so dearly – friendship, service, and a commitment to doing right by the customer. We intend to pay tribute to him by continuing to ensure these qualities flourish throughout our business. That’s the way Harry would have wanted it.
We thank you for your friendship, and we look forward to your next visit. Just like Harry, we’ll always be there to welcome you back.
Sincerely,
The Hirsch Family & Staff of The Montreal Inn
