Montreal Inn in Cape May to Celebrate 47 Years of Service with a Special Offer for Guests
The Montreal Inn in Cape May, NJ is celebrating 47 years of service. The hotel, a staple family business in the community, is more than just a summer getaway—it’s a second home to many. To celebrate, The Montreal Inn in Cape May is offering a special promotion to valued guests.
The Montreal Inn story began as far from Cape May as anyone could possibly imagine. Harry and Sophie Hirsch, a young couple from Poland seeking a better life after World War II, decided to leave the life they knew for the United States, and arrived in a Philadelphia port via cargo ship in 1951.
After the couple adjusted to life in the States, Harry discovered the Jersey Shore, and once he and his wife laid eyes on Cape May, they fell in love with the small, historic town. In 1965, a beachfront property became available at the corner of Beach Drive and Madison Avenue. The Hirsch’s knew they had to have it, and planned to build a home for their family.
After buying the land and signing the contract, the Hirsch’s learned they were not permitted to build a home; rather, they had to build a business. The couple saw this as an opportunity and began construction on a 27-room motel. After realizing a small motel could not meet Cape May’s visitor demand, the Hirsch’s decided to expand, and eventually the once-small motel was transformed into the 70-room hotel of the present day.
Sophie passed away in 1975, but shortly thereafter, sons Larry and Joseph entered the family business. Nearly half a century after its founding, the Montreal Inn is a three-generational family operation.
Today, the Montreal Inn is a premier hotel in Cape May, NJ, and one of only a handful along the entire Jersey Shore to be under the continuous management of a single family. The Hirsch’s take pride in the fact that, despite growth and changing times, they have never wavered from their core principle of treating customers like family.
To honor The Montreal Inn’s loyal guests over the past 47 years, the Hirsch family has come up with a special promotion. Book a two-night stay by May 16, 2013 at the Montreal Inn in Cape May and receive a $47.00 discount. Or book a three-night stay or more and receive both the $47.00 discount and the popular “Somewhere in Time” package.
For generations, the Hirsch family has known the secret to a great Cape May vacation. Experience the magic yourself, and make Montreal Inn one of your favorite hotels in Cape May by calling 1-800-525-7011.
